Rules

BEAUTY Expectations (Glitz): Contestants should demonstrate facial beauty, personality, confidence, and poise while modeling. Contestants should connect with the judges through eye contact and appear genuinely happy to be on stage while hitting all of the marks and utilizing the 1.5 minute time limit. “Full glitz” hair and makeup (stage makeup, false eyelashes, hair pieces, flippers, etc.) is expected in order to receive a high score. Contestants over the age of six will be docked points for off-stage coaching.

Beauty Expectations (Natural): Contestants should demonstrate facial beauty, personality, confidence, and poise. Contestants should connect with the judges through eye contact and appear genuinely happy to be on stage while hitting all of the marks and utilizing the 1.5 minute time limit. Contestants over the age of six will be docked points for off-stage coaching.

HOLLYWOOD WEAR Expectations: Contestants should wear age-appropriate costumes representing an actor/actress, musician, movie/TV character, or any Hollywood Icon. Judged on routine, personality, confidence, and costume. Routines should be age relevant and within a 1.5 minute time limit. Contestants over the age of six will be docked points for off-stage coaching.

TALENT Expectations: Contestants should demonstrate their unique talents in creative ways. Singing, dancing, poetry, monologues, gymnastics, and playing an instrument are all examples of talent. Judged on execution of talent, skill, and stage presence.  Routines should be age relevant and stay within the 1.5 minute time limit.

Note: In an effort to promote body positivity and confidence, contestants are NEVER judged on their body’s physical size and shape, even in the swimwear category. If your child is biologically male but identifies as female, she may enter the girls division of the appropriate age group, and vice versa.

DEDUCTIONS: Can occur for inappropriate or ill-fitting attire, closed-toe toddler shoes worn without socks, lack of eye contact, lack of confidence, lack of an age appropriate routine, unsuitable hair and makeup (glitz). Coaching of a child over the age of six while onstage will result in a one-point deduction off of every category from the child’s score card.
